3 A.M.

Drop 01 is set.

A black tee. The seal on the chest, the phase ring on the back — eight moons, numbered, the whole cycle laid out. Cream on black. Nothing else.

Twenty-five pieces. When they're gone they're gone, and I mean that as a description rather than a sales pitch. Twenty-five is what one person can make properly.

The mark on the back is the system, if you want to read it that way. Eight phases, eight drops, new moon to full. Drop 01 sits at the top of the ring. You'll be able to see, on the shirt, exactly where in the cycle you got in.

Two things I had to decide against.

I wanted to open with something more technical — a piece I'd been circling for weeks. It needs a factory, and a factory needs months. It's coming, but it isn't first. First had to be something I could make with my own hands, in my own house, now.

And I nearly ran the whole thing black on black. No visible print, just texture. It's the better idea and the wrong timing. Nobody knows the mark yet. You can't hide something people haven't seen.

So it waits. Most good ideas do.

Everything else is process now. Blanks, test presses, wash tests. The unglamorous part, which is most of it.

New moon. Watch it fill.
